Description
Patient education video detailing common questions regarding what an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) is. I worked closely with Dr. Mitoff, a staff cardiologist at St. Joseph’s Health Centre to ensure that the content was accurate. The language was vetted by the Patient and Family Education department at the University Health Network to produce a patient-friendly animation. A fun side note is that I got to use my dad as a model for my patient! He had a lot of fun posing for me.
I responsible from start to finish of the project including storyboarding, modelling, comping, and sound design.

This behind-the-scenes clip comes from a very low-budget shoot where my dad helped me capture the shot. Working with only an old iPhone and no budget for a green screen, I used rotoscoping to isolate him from the background. It was a simple exercise in being resourceful, making the most of limited tools, and having fun creating with my parents.
